Q: How confident is Terra with produce coming from Mexico and other countries that it's pesticide free? Could you please clarify.

A: We have as much confidence about products from Mexico, or any other part of the world for that matter, coming to us free of pesticides and other substances prohibited under the USDA National Organic Program because the same third-party certifiers that are employed by farms in the US are used by farms in other countries.  The USDA established the guidelines and, instead of auditing and certifying the farms directly, they oversee the work of the third-party certifiers, like the WSDA, Oregon Tilth and CCOF.  All farms must adhere to the same standards in order to receive the USDA organic designation.
